Our Wellbeing Sessions

Each month we run well-being sessions to enable people to start talking about the problems they are currently dealing with.

The sessions are not a time for counseling or therapy, it is a safe space for people to find out more information about the topics and to start making changes in the way they think.

If at the end of the session more professional help is needed, we can then help refer over to other professionals in the area.

To reserve a place on the next set of sessions, please click on the links below.

All sessions will be run on Zoom, so a stable internet connection will be required.

Through discussion, we look at the differences there are between Grief and Loss. Everyone at some stage will encounter both these areas, within their lifetime, but they affect each person in different ways.

People will move through the 5 stages of grief, and may even find themselves jumping to each stage at different times.

Grief and Loss are not just when a person or a pet dies, it covers areas such as losing a job, a relationship, freedom and many more.

How do we build Resilience?

Imagine resilience was like a muscle.  In order for it to grow, it has to break a little.  Bodybuilders increase their muscle capacity by pushing themselves further, lifting heavier weights.  Athletes improve their ability by pushing themselves further, to go faster, to go further.  It hurts but the intentional pain then increases their ability.   The muscle fibers have to break.  The breakage then causes the body to repair the muscle and makes it stronger.  In the same way, as we go through bad things, when we get broken, this also has the ability to make us stronger.  It is also important to note that rest plays a huge role in building up muscle.  This is also true for resilience.  We need to rest in order to get our strength back.
